SIMPACE Viet Nam, an IELTS- approved partner of the British Council in Vietnam, was formerly the first intensive English training institution in Viet Nam from the number 1 English language institute in the Philippines. We are hiring for our footprint in Hanoi and surroundings.

Teaching Assistant

1. Key Accountabilities

Teaching

• Working with teacher to assist in delivery of class expectations
• Working with students to improve their knowledge of IELTS, necessary skills
• Providing study practice opportunities for students in coordination with lesson outcomes and teacher expectations
• Providing feedback to students based on their needs and expectations.
• Preparing for lessons with care and attention to outcomes
• Participating in training with a view to professional development

Administrative Support

• Marking mock tests upon request.
• Openly receiving and addressing student and client satisfaction.

Curriculum preparation

• Providing additional materials to the curriculum, based on student needs, as directed by academic staff;
• Responsible for identifying curriculum problems and reporting to line manager, where possible making corrections.

Report

• Report weekly, daily about students.

2. Key Selection Criteria

• Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0 (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as Senior teaching assistant would be an advantage.
• Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer), Technical/ IT ability would be an advantage.
• Being available for at least 6 (six) hours per week for this specific engagement.

3. Compensation

• The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Working place: To be arranged at high schools in Ha Noi city and center by Academic Department

Working time: 8h/day, 5.5 days/week
